We are looking for an experienced Custodian to join our team at our Marana location. This is a full-time position with full benefits, ideal for someone who enjoys working early shifts and having afternoons free. What you will do:
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, stairways and other work areas.
- Sweeps, scrubs, waxes, and polishes floors using brooms, mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
- Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaner.
- Shampoos carpets.
- Dusts furniture and equipment.
- Polishes metalwork such as fixtures and fittings.
- Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
- Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
- Empties wastebaskets and empties and cleans ashtrays.
- Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
- Replenishes bathroom supplies.
- Replaces light bulbs.
Marginal Job Functions:
- Answers inquiries and assists guests.
- Reports malfunctioning equipment to Custodian Supervisor.
- Assists other Tenant Services areas when required.
- Ensure that all work performed is done in a safe manner. Directs activities to protect employees from harm and maintain safe working conditions.
What you will bring to the table:
Required -
- Ability to organize and plan work while meeting deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Working knowledge of cleaning techniques and cleanliness standards
- Ability to operate applicable cleaning equipment
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and ability to read, write, and understand the English language
- Ability to work independently without supervision
Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One year of custodial experience preferred

SMS REQUIREMENTS
- Employees are responsible for performing their duties in accordance with company policies and government regulations. - Employees shall participate in safety education programs and train to recognize hazards on the job and how to report them promptly. As a condition of employment, each member of Ascent Aviation agrees to report errors, incidents, and accidents honestly.
- Any employee who observes an unsafe action or condition should bring it to the attention of supervisors and managers. Certain conditions may allow the employee to easily correct a condition or situation.
- In all cases, the employee must notify his/her supervisor of any actions taken by the employee. The first employee to observe an accident or incident should take immediate action to alert appropriate responders/supervision and to take reasonable steps to prevent further injury, or damage.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Physical Demands: Requires sitting, standing or walking for extended periods of time. Requires bending, stooping, squatting, climbing, reaching to shoulder level, crouching, kneeling, and balancing. Requires lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling weight up to 75 pounds. Requires repetitive hand movement. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires corrected vision to normal range and ability to communicate effectively.
- Equipment Operated: Ability to operate office machines, support servers,
- 3D and Label printers, handhelds and troubleshoot problems with equipment.
- Work Location: MIS Office, computer room, various offices/departments throughout facility.
- Potential Hazards: Exposure to materials identified on Material Safety Data Sheets
