Job Summary:
The Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor provides ongoing support for Value Stream leadership in the areas of productivity improvement and lead time reduction, takes on a lead Operations role with New Product Development activities and is responsible for ensuring that all customer and internal cost requirements are met or exceeded.
Essential Functions:
- Manage a team of manufacturing engineers
- Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities
- Direct, review, and approve product design and changes
- Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work, and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence
- Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services
- Analyze technology, resource needs, and spanet demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects
- Confer with management, production, and spaneting staff to discuss project specifications and procedures
- Any other task assigned by supervisor or management
Individual contribution as a Manufacturing Engineer:
- Identify opportunities or implement changes to improve products or reduce costs using knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment, assembly methods, quality control standards, or product design, materials and parts
- Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods
- Provide technical expertise or support related to manufacturing
- Incorporate new methods and processes to improve existing operations
- Supervise technicians, technologists, analysts, administrative staff, or other engineers
- Troubleshoot new and existing product problems involving designs, materials, or processes
- Review product designs for manufacturability and completeness
- Train production personnel in new or existing methods
- Communicate manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production processes
- Design, install, or troubleshoot manufacturing equipment

- 5+ years of experience in aerospace engineering
- Supervisory experience
Working Conditions:
- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
- Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE
- May be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes
- Schedule will fluctuate depending on the needs of the business

Salary Range: $111,435 - $166,271 USD Annual.
Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience in a similar role or performing comparable job responsibilities, skills, training, and other qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for participation in performance-based bonus program.
