Role PurposeSenior Executive, Safety is instrumental in upholding the highest safety standards within the organization, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. This role supports the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of the Safety Management System (SMS), including the execution of safety audits, incident investigations, and analysis of safety-related data. A key aspect of the position involves fostering a proactive safety culture through active engagement and collaboration with operational departments, regulatory authorities, and relevant stakeholders to identify potential risks, maintain compliance, and drive continuous safety improvements. Additionally, the role contributes to the implementation of SMS Pillar 2 – Safety Risk Management, by managing safety reports, Mandatory Occurrence Reports (MORs), and safety data. The Senior Executive also assists in safety investigations and supports Emergency Response Planning initiatives.
Key Accountability- Ensuring the effective safety risk management by identifying, assessing, and mitigating safety risks.
- Assist in the investigation of safety occurrences and prepare reports for management review.
- Maintain and manage safety data, including the tracking and analysis of safety reports and MORs.
- To participate and uphold the safety and security policies and procedures in line with aircraft operations objectives.
- Manage the safety reporting system, ensuring timely logging, review, and analysis of reports.
- Assist in conducting and prepare report in risk assessments, hazard identifications, and safety performance monitoring
- Support safety investigators by gathering evidence, drafting reports, and following up on corrective actions.
- Monitor trends in safety data to identify potential risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- Track and monitor safety action plans, objectives, and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) Safety data monitoring.
- Support internal safety audits and SMS reviews by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
- Participate in safety walkabouts and inspections to ensure the effectiveness of the hazard identification program.
- Participate in emergency response exercises and contribute to updates in the Emergency Response Plan.
- Liaise with operational departments to ensure proper implementation of SMS procedures and safety initiatives by ensuring it follow based on standard requirement
- Engage with the Group Safety and Security Department to align safety initiatives and risk management strategies.
- Assist in the maintenance of the Safety Management System Manual.
- Maintain SMS records and ensure proper documentation of all safety-related activities.
- Act as the Secretariat for CSSO AG.
- Other duties assigned by Manager Safety.
Qualifications & Working Experience- Diploma or Degree in Aviation Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field with minimum of 3-5 years depending on area of experience.
