Role PurposeThe Manager, Contract Management is responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of commercial, operational, and service-related contracts under MAG Culinary Solutions Sdn Bhd (MAGCS), including contracts managed on behalf of customer airlines within Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG). The role ensures contracts are commercially sound, operationally effective, legally compliant, and aligned with service standards and governance requirements.
The position has dual reporting lines to:
- Senior Manager, Commercial & Pricing (commercial strategy, pricing, and governance)
- Head, Service Delivery & Performance Standards (service standards, SLA performance, and operational requirements)
Key AccountabilitiesContract Management
- Lead contract preparation, review, negotiation, execution, renewal, amendment, and termination.
- Manage contracts involving inflight caterers, meal suppliers, manpower providers, ground support equipment, inflight equipment and consumables, logistics services, and other operational services.
- Ensure clear contractual terms, pricing, KPIs, SLAs, and compliance requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments, monitor contract performance, and administer contractual remedies for non-compliance.
- Maintain contract governance frameworks, documentation, and renewal tracking.
Stakeholder & Commercial Management
- Collaborate with Commercial, Operations, Service Delivery, Procurement, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders.
- Support negotiations, supplier engagement, tender exercises, evaluations, benchspaning, and contract recommendations.
- Act as the primary liaison for contractual, performance, compliance, and dispute resolution matters.
- Prepare management papers, approvals, and commercial evaluation reports.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with MAGCS policies, procurement governance, legal requirements, and audit standards.
- Review contractual clauses relating to liabilities, indemnities, dispute resolution, and termination rights.
- Maintain a centralized contract repository and support audit and reporting requirements.
Continuous Improvement & Advisory
- Improve contract management processes, templates, SLA frameworks, and governance controls.
- Provide contractual and commercial advice on compliance, risk management, supplier governance, and strategic sourcing initiatives.
- Support post-contract activities including variations, claims, disputes, and commercial negotiations.
Qualifications & Experience- Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Business Administration, Commercial Management, Supply Chain Management, Aviation Management, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in contract management, commercial management, procurement governance, legal coordination, or strategic sourcing.
- Experience in contract drafting, negotiation, supplier management, tender exercises, governance approvals, and commercial negotiations.
- Professional certification in contract management, procurement, or related disciplines is an advantage.
