Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting expatriate opportunity for a Flightline Readiness Tech Inspector Manager (Level K) in Zhoushan, China.
The 737 team is looking for a first line quality manager to support deliveries at the Zhoushan delivery center. They will be releasing aircraft and preforming QMS oversight activities site wide. This manager will be reporting to a senior quality manager supporting site activities.
This is a Long-Term Assignment for up to 3 years, with primary location in Seattle, WA, assignment location in Zhoushan, China. Relocation/assignment benefits to the international location will be provided.
Position Responsibilities
Will make Aircraft Releases as Part 125 AMT on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies.
Performing as an Applicant for ODA Recurrent Ticketing activities for the 737 MAX aircraft.
Manages employees who evaluate and ensure that products, services and processes comply with customer contract requirements, engineering requirements, company procedures and government regulations.
Provides education, coaching and review of Quality Management System
Develops and maintains relationships, partnerships and communication with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, suppliers and direct reports
Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance.
Manages, develops and motivates employee
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
1+ years’ experience in a leadership role leading various teams, initiatives, or projects to meet business objectives and influence change
1+ years of experience with the Boeing process for releasing aircraft for flight, maintaining air worthiness in accordance to the policies and procedures
3+ years of Line Maintenance and/or MRO experience
Must have a current FAA Airframe and Power plant (A&P) License and available on request
Must be willing to support a multi-year Expat assignment in Zhoushan, China
Willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience working on Boeing 737 MAX product
3 years of experience working directly with customers
Experience working in a Part 121, Part 125 and/or Part 145
CQS, Records, and/or ARL experience
Experience working as an ODA member and/or Ticketing Applicant
737NG/MAX General Familiarization “GenFam” class
Long-term Assignment Details:
Candidate must be able to obtain a work visa, depending on requirements of the country
Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country, as applicable
