GENERAL SUMMARY:
In this essential role, youll be part of a skilled service team responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, and servicing aircraft to ensure peak performance and regulatory compliance. From routine checks to hands‑on mechanical repairs, youll play a critical part in maintaining the integrity and safety of every aircraft that enters our facility.
As an Aircraft Service Technician, youll work with advanced tools, technical manuals, and diagnostic equipment to identify issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support a wide range of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. PRIMARY RESPONSBILITIES:
- Perform routine and scheduled aircraft inspections in accordance with FAA regulations and company maintenance programs.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure aircraft are safe, airworthy, and ready for service.
- Read and interpret technical manuals, engineering documents, service bulletins, and maintenance logs.
- Remove, repair, and reinstall aircraft components such as panels, control surfaces, and landing gear.
- Utilize specialized tools and diagnostic equipment to verify system performance and resolve discrepancies.
- Accurately complete maintenance records, work orders, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate with fellow technicians, inspectors, and supervisors to meet project timelines and operational requirements.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to all safety protocols, including hazardous material handling.
Top candidates will possess:
- High school diploma or GED
- 4+ years related experience in aircraft maintenance, mechanical systems repair, or technical troubleshooting
Experience in an MRO, airline, or aerospace maintenance environment
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate or enrollment in an A&P program
Familiarity with FAA Part 145 operations and documentation
- Strong understanding of basic mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic principles
- Ability to read and follow technical manuals, schematics, and regulatory documentation
- Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Basic computer skills for documentation and work order entry
- Strong safety awareness and ability to handle tools and materials safely
- Ability to work independently and within a team
Other requirements include:
- Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs., work in confined spaces and in noisy environments
- Ability to occasionally travel for work assignments
- Ability to maintain a tool inventory in alignment with shop requirements
- Ability to obtain and retain an airport AOA badge
- Ability to work overtime and various shifts as business needs require

The base hourly range for this role is $25.00 to $45.00 per hour. The pay range provided is a good faith estimate representative of experience levels. Specific compensation for this role will be determined by several factors including but not limited to; minimum and preferred qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience and location.
