The Support to Operations (STO) Design Engineering group is responsible for the re-design and analysis of various compressor, combustion, transmission and turbine mechanical components. Our responsibilities extend across Engineering, Operations and Customer Service: from detail re-design, through validation & verification.
This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Mississauga, and performed exclusively on-site.
What will your day-to-day look like?
You will be part of a team of specialists in the design of mechanical systems for turbomachines (turboprop, turboshaft, and turbofan) and you will:
Solve mechanical design problems on production and field engines.
Re-design mechanical component to facilitate manufacturing
Solve producibility challenges on turbomachinery components.
Perform thorough engineering evaluations of non-conforming material.
Support outsourcing activities by defining and executing substantiation plans for components manufactured by new suppliers.
Initiate design modifications for cost reductions.
Lead multidisciplinary integrated product teams (IPT)
Document IPT activities in design job projects.
What do you need to be successful?
English - Functional level
To have completed a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering.
Member of PEO is recommended.
Strong knowledge of mechanical design.
General knowledge of engineering disciplines (aerodynamics, heat transfer, structures, dynamics).
Communication skills, written and oral.
Knowledge of manufacturing methods and CATIA V5 is an asset.
Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset

The salary range for this role is 65,000 CAD - 107,800 CAD . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
