Role Conditions

Working Monday to Wednesday, 07:00 – 17:30 & Thursday, 07:00 – 16:30
Overtime paid at 1.5 times hourly rate

About the Role

On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, we are currently recruiting for a Fabrication Quality Control Inspector. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic environment with a strong focus on safety, compliance and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Provide support to the Quality & Inspection departments, ensuring all work carried out is to the required standards and meets customer specifications
Carry out first off and final inspections of the manufactured components to ensure compliance
First off inspection of fabricated sheet metal, welded and assembled parts
stage and final inspection of fabricated sheet metal, welded and assembled parts
Ensure all work carried out is within customer and industry specifications
Produce inspection reports & First Article Inspection to AS9102 requirements
Identify and report non-conforming products
Support MRB (RCCA) activities and maintaining records (Q-Pulse)
Measuring of components with various hand tools (vernier, micrometer, etc.)
Ensure compliance with inspection procedures and keeping relevant records up to date
Contribute to continuous improvement and quality initiatives
Ensure the cleanliness, neatness and orderliness (5S) of area of responsibility
Ensure all documentation is in line with customer and business requirements
Work closely with quality and production teams to maintain high standards

Candidate Requirements

Previous fine limit technical experience in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 desirable
Previous experience using hand measurement tools
Knowledge of problem-solving techniques
Use of PC and related programmes
Good understanding of engineering drawings
Right to work in the UK
