About the Role
As an Aviation Production Support Technician, you’ll be responsible for precision cleaning of aircraft components, removal of metallic debris and chemical residues, and maintaining organized, compliant production workspaces. Your efforts will support manufacturing efficiency, Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention, and aircraft quality standards throughout the production process.

What You’ll Do
Production & Cleaning Support Responsibilities
Clean-As-You-Go Activities (40)
Perform intermediate cleaning during drilling and assembly operations to prevent contamination from metal shavings, oils, and sealants
Scrape sealant prior to curing to improve final customer presentation preparation
Implement containment-at-source cleaning techniques to prevent debris migration throughout aircraft sections
Ensure immediate disposal of scrap materials, wipes, and waste into designated containers to support FOD prevention standards
Customer Presentation Preparation (50)
Remove metal shavings, dust, and debris from aircraft structures using industrial vacuums and specialized cleaning tools
Apply approved solvents and cleaning agents according to Qualified Product Lists (QPL) and technical specifications
Ensure aircraft surfaces meet “white-glove” cleanliness and quality standards
Support preparation of aircraft for customer presentation and inspection
5S & General Station Cleaning (10)
Clean returned aircraft protection equipment before reinstallation
Perform routine cleaning of work platforms, floors, and station surfaces
Clean jigs and tools during downtime and report damaged tools as needed
Conduct toolbox inventories and support tool accountability initiatives
Maintain organized, safe, and efficient work environments aligned with LEAN manufacturing principles
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
1–3 years of experience in cleaning operations
Ability to work safely in confined spaces and on elevated platforms
Experience using basic hand tools such as scrapers, screwdrivers, and wrenches
Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
Ability to read and follow technical instructions and Qualified Product Lists (QPLs)
Understanding of PPE, FOD prevention, and workplace safety procedures
Ability to communicate effectively in English (spoken and written)
Preferred Qualifications
2–4 years of cleaning operations experience in an aviation manufacturing or repair environment
Previous experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment
Knowledge of OSHA regulations including:
Confined space entry
Respiratory protection
Fall protection
Hazard communication
Proper PPE usage
Physical Requirements
This role requires hands-on work within active aerospace production environments.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Ability to work in confined spaces, on ladders, and on elevated work platforms
Ability to stand, walk, squat, kneel, push, pull, and carry tools and materials throughout the shift
Ability to safely transition between platforms and work areas
Ability to wear required PPE including safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, and protective gloves

Pay Details: $22.00 per hour
