The Ramp Agent (Cayman Brac) willreport to the Ramp Supervisor (Cayman Brac/Little Cayman) and to the Director,Airside Ground Operations (System-Wide) who is based in Grand Cayman. Post holder is responsible for providing rampservices for Cayman Airways and Cayman Airways Express in Cayman Brac.
Summary of key responsibilities:
Prepare ramp parking position for incoming aircrafts
Conduct Foreign Object Debris (F.O.D) checks on the ramp
Provide wheelchair assistance for passengers on departure and arrival asrequired
Preparation for arriving and departing flights including setting up GroundSupport Equipment (G.S.E), safety cones, marshaling and F.O.D walking, chockingof aircraft for Cayman Airways and Cayman Airways Express.
Loading and offloading of aircraft. Handle all outgoing and incoming cargo andbaggage including jiffies and Post Office mail i.e. transporting to and storingin warehouse
Communication with Pilots and Airport Ticket Office (A.T.O) whenaircrafts are ready for boarding
Completing all security and aircraft loading documentation in a timelymanner
Handling, operating and positioning all Ground Support Equipment (G.S.E)as and when required, including Ground Power Unit and Air Conditioning Cart,Air Start Unit, Belt Loaders, Baggage Tugs and Carts, Boarding Devices, etc.; connectingand disconnecting during turn flights
Lavatory Servicing and Potable Water when necessary
Sorting and tagging baggage at the ticket counter area
Provide pushback as needed for SAAB and Twin Otter aircrafts
Loading and unloading of human remains when necessary
Loading and off-loading (carry on/off) disabled passengers whennecessary
Clearing and transporting G.S.E. to and from Port Authority Dock
Collecting and transporting cargo to and from Warehouse
Deliver lost baggage to passengers
Collect supplies for the CYB and LYB offices from various vendors
Promote a strong customer care culture which includes customer safetyand security
Participate in various cross training exercises in GCM and LYB
Commitment to promoting airline operational efficiency to CAL
Any other assigned duties required by Ramp Supervisor in Cayman Brac
RequirementsQualifications,Skills & Experience:
Minimum of high school diploma with O’ levelpasses in Maths, Geography and English
Basic understanding of airport safety procedures wouldbe a plus.
Proficient in computers especially Microsoft OfficeSuite including WORD, Excel and Outlook
Able to successfully complete the required ramp servicestraining program.
Must be able to qualify for security access permits tooperate on airside/secure areas.
Knowledge of proper lifting techniques when handlingheavy objects.
Committed to promoting airline operational efficiency to CAL or othercontracted carriers
Strong teamwork, communication and time management skillsare critical
Able to work independently and under pressure attimes
Able to stand for long hours and lift heavypassenger baggage up to 70 pounds
Able to work shifts, including weekends and publicholidays
Valid Cayman Islands Driver’sLicense, Group 4 preferred/Minimum of Group 2 required.
Experience working with live animals and dangerous goodswould be an asset.
Ableto speak a foreign language would be an asset

This is a manual job. It is important that the post holder have the physical stability and skills to do the job.
Able to endure tough working conditions, including hotand cold temperatures. When working on the ramp, ramp personnel will beexposed to the elements including extreme heat, rain and noisy conditions.
