Responsibilities:
- Analyze system and hardware requirements for complex electrical hardware designs.
- Develop schematics using Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition.
- Define PCB/PWB routing constraints and guide layout and routing activities.
- Design high-speed, high-density circuit cards incorporating embedded processors, FPGAs, fiber optic interfaces, and high-speed interfaces.
- Support hardware development across the full lifecycle, including manufacturing, integration, test, and qualification.
- Perform signal integrity and power integrity analysis using tools such as HyperLynx.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues using lab equipment, including oscilloscopes and Ethernet network testers.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and customers to deliver hardware solutions that meet program requirements.
- Identify opportunities to apply AI-enabled tools or methods for process improvement and innovation.
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field with 8+ years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with circuit card design, including advanced materials, packaging techniques, and high-speed interfaces.
- Advanced experience with Siemens/Mentor Graphics Xpedition, including schematic entry and constraint management.
- Experience with HyperLynx Signal Integrity / Power Integrity analysis.
- Experience designing high-speed and high-density circuit cards using embedded processors, FPGAs, or fiber optic interfaces.
- Working knowledge of lab test equipment, including oscilloscopes and Ethernet network testers.
- Ability to work through complex design challenges with minimal direction.
