Software Engineer - GMD Weapon System

Minimum Starting Salary: $90,000/Year

Software Engineer job in Huntsville, Alabama is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Defense company. In this full time, direct hire, salaried job you will support the Ground Based Midcourse (GMD) Weapon System (GWS) by developing data analysis products that directly support the design and development of the GWS capability on behalf of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA).

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Python-based data analysis tools to support GWS design and development

• Perform root cause analysis of software and system-level behaviors using available test and simulation data

• Create and present analytical products, reports, and technical briefings

• Work with systems engineers to decompose requirements and define test objectives

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical quality and integration

• Contribute to Bitbucket-managed repositories and software versioning workflows

• Travel up to 25 in support of test events, program reviews, or customer engagements

Qualifications:

• U.S. citizen with Active DoD Secret security clearance
• Bachelors in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 5+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience
• Demonstrated Experience with Python
• Ability to perform software root cause analysis
• Experience with Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 25 of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with object oriented programming languages
• Requirements decomposition and testing experience
• Experience with Test Objectives in Missile defense.
