- Associates degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and expertise required for this level usually results from progressive experience. - Knowledge of Military Programs
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- 2D and 3D CAD, preferably AutoCad and SolidWorks. Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
- Sufficient software knowledge to technically interface with the department engineers.
- PCÂs and basic office equipment.
- Fluency in English, through both verbal and written communications; Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; Able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers.
- Able to work with mathematical concepts used in solving static, dynamic, and stress anaylsis. Able to apply advanced mathematical concepts using, arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry and their apppications. Knowledge of the principles of solving complex problems using computational methods.
- Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Valid Drivers License, where applicable.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and high, precarious places. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
