About the RoleAs an Aircraft Loads Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring structural integrity, flight performance, and regulatory compliance across new aircraft development and in-service fleets. You’ll apply advanced modeling, simulation, and engineering expertise to determine aircraft design loads and support certification efforts.
This opportunity may be available as contract, contract-to-hire, or direct placement, depending on candidate fit and business needs.
Work Location: Hybrid role based in Wichita (2 days onsite per week, subject to change). Candidates may also be based Wichita, USA.
What You’ll DoConduct simulations and analyses to determine aircraft design loads for new development programs and in-service aircraft.
Develop and maintain both low-fidelity and high-fidelity models supporting loads analysis.
Build automated tools and frameworks that improve engineering efficiency and analytical accuracy.
Support missionized aircraft programs through store separation loads analysis capabilities.
Develop nonlinear actuator modeling tools aligned with Transport Canada certification requirements.
Utilize a variety of commercial and proprietary engineering tools, including six-degree-of-freedom aircraft simulators.
Collaborate cross-functionally with certification, systems, structures, and flight sciences teams.
Prepare technical documentation to support regulatory approvals and engineering decisions.
What You BringRequired QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace specialization preferred).
Relevant aerospace industry experience, particularly in external loads analysis.
Strong programming skills in C++, Fortran, MATLAB, and Python.
Knowledge of numerical and scientific computing methods.
Experience working in high-performance computing environments.
Experience using version control systems such as Git.
Strong understanding of:
Understanding of airworthiness regulations and certification documentation.
Eligibility for Canadian Controlled Goods Clearance.
Preferred QualificationsExperience with nonlinear modeling and certification processes.
Familiarity with finite element analysis tools such as Nastran.
Experience with fly-by-wire systems and control law integration.
Prior experience supporting aircraft development or certification programs.

Pay Details: $64.64 to $89.64 per hour
